AAH Bristol – Lloyds Pharmacy

Centred Solutions™, the UK market leader in innovative automated pharmacy solutions, has partnered with All About Health (AAH) and Lloyds Pharmacy at AAH’s Bristol regional distribution centre to automate script labelling and bagging for thousands of customers across the south-west of England.

Intelligent Prescription Processing™-M3 (IPP-M3) is a class-leading, fully automated pharmacy dispensing system. State-of-the-art robotic technology automatically labels original packs for patient scripts with unparalleled accuracy, speed and quality levels. We designed, developed and installed the fully automated system, overseeing the testing and commissioning for AAH and Lloyds Pharmacy.

Rory Buckenham is Bristol Prescription Assembly Manager at Lloyds Pharmacy. He explains the reasons for choosing IPP-M3: “Quality is the key issue for us. In our business script errors represent a significant risk to our patients. IPP-M3 delivers exceptional quality that is significantly better than if we were manually dispensing prescriptions. On top of that is the volumes that we can run through the IPP-M3 line. They are huge, huge volumes compared to what a manual operation can do.”

Colin Hardy is Managing Director of Centred Solutions. He says: “Our IPP-M3 installation at Bristol provides AAH with the capability to process approximately 1.7 million scripts annually, up to almost six million script items per year on a single IPP-M3 precisely sorting and accurately bagging individual prescriptions. That’s about unmatched accuracy, speed, efficiency and reliability, delivering significant operating cost efficiencies and increased profitability.”
